Grappa

Grappa is an Italian style of brandy distilled from the “vinaccia” or left over solids from the wine making process. It’s aromas range from floral and herbaceous to grassy and tropical to earthy, woody, and musty. The flavor is fruity, bright and delicate when young; complex yet well-rounded when aged.

Grappas that are produced from a multi-varietal vinaccia and aged six months to a year in stainless steel or glass.

The family of Amaro is broad and has quite a range of flavors, but they are consistently bitter/sweet; usually leaning one way or the other. This Amaro is rare in that it uses Grappa as its base before adding a variety of alpine herbs and spices. The flavor is wildly complex and more sweet than bitter.
