Milano Mule
Milano Mule

The Milano Mule is Grappa’s Italian spin on the Moscow Mule, poured in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. We swap vodka for grappa and reach for an Italian blood orange ginger beer, giving the refreshing mule template a distinctly Italian accent. It is mixed in-house, bright and easy-drinking, and a fun way to enjoy our namesake spirit in a long, fizzy format.

What’s In It

Our Milano Mule starts with Tosolini Cividina grappa, a clean, fragrant Italian grape spirit, lengthened with Fever-Tree Italian Blood Orange Ginger Beer and finished with a squeeze of fresh lime. It is built over ice and served tall, in the classic mule style, typically in a copper mug or highball with plenty of fizz.

About This Cocktail

The mule is a beloved highball of spirit, ginger beer, and lime, traditionally made with vodka. At Grappa we make it our own by using grappa, the Italian brandy distilled from grape pomace that gives our restaurant its name, and pairing it with a blood-orange ginger beer for an Italian twist. It is a light, refreshing cocktail, from our family to your table.

Tasting Notes

The aroma is bright with ginger, blood orange, and fresh lime. The palate is crisp and refreshing, the spicy ginger beer and citrus lifted by the fragrant grappa underneath. The finish is clean, zesty, and lightly spiced. It is an easy-drinking, effervescent cocktail with an Italian character.

What to Pair It With

Its bright, spicy fizz suits lighter, briny plates. Pair it with the Pesto Mussels, the Spaniard Octopus, or the Heirloom Tomatoes & Burrata. Browse the full dine-in menu for more.
