Moletto Grappa di Barolo
Moletto Grappa di Barolo

Moletto Grappa di Barolo is an aged grappa poured at Grappa in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood, produced by the Moletto estate at Motta di Livenza in the Veneto. We list it for its silky, barrel-rested elegance, a single-variety grappa that brings the warmth of Barolo’s Nebbiolo to a candlelit close of the evening, from our family to your table.

About the Distillery

Moletto is a family estate run by the Stival family at Motta di Livenza in the Veneto. Alongside their wines, they craft single-vine grappas, each distilled from the pomace of just one grape variety. Their grappas are produced with traditional copper stills, in a style that prizes purity and refinement.

Style & Production

This grappa is made from the marc of Nebbiolo, the grape behind Barolo, distilled in traditional copper stills. It then rests in wood, where barrel aging draws out a golden hue and a richer, rounder character before bottling.

Tasting Notes

Expect a pale golden to amber color from its time in wood. The nose is fragrant and richly layered, with suede, toasted nuts and baked orchard fruit. The palate enters round and silky, leading to a dry-yet-fruity body finely framed by spice and a whisper of white pepper, with a long, graceful fade.

What to Pair It With

Moletto Grappa di Barolo pairs beautifully with Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta and our Charcuterie Board, and it is a lovely digestif after our American Wagyu Steaks. Browse the full dine-in menu for more.

How It’s Served at Grappa

We pour it neat as a digestif, served at $17, a refined way to linger over dinner in Queen Anne.
