For those who want to end the evening with something truly distinguished, the Marolo Grappa di Barolo 12 Year is a prestige pour worthy of the occasion. From our family to your table, we serve this amber, long-aged grappa by candlelight as a memorable digestif.
About the Distillery
Distilleria Marolo, founded in 1977 in Alba in the Piedmont region, is renowned for its craftsmanship and devotion to high-quality grappa. The family works with raw material from some of Piedmont’s most respected wine areas and distills in small batches using gentle bain-marie stills, a method designed to preserve the character of the grape and lend the spirit precision and finesse.
Style & Production
This grappa is distilled from the pomace of Nebbiolo, the noble grape behind Barolo, often called the king of Piedmontese wines. After distillation, the spirit rests for a full twelve years in small oak barrels, an exceptionally long maturation that places this bottling among the house’s most prestigious riservas.
Tasting Notes
Twelve years in wood gives this grappa a clear, bright golden-amber color and a deeply layered character. Expect notes of vanilla, spice, raisin and candied fruit alongside hints of tobacco, licorice and clove, all carried on a smooth, lingering finish of remarkable depth.
