El Destilador Reposado is a refined 100% agave tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, rested in oak for a gentle golden warmth, and it is poured at Grappa in Queen Anne, Seattle. It brings a polished, approachable elegance to our spirits list.
About the Distillery
El Destilador is produced by Tequilera Newton e Hijos in Zapopan, Jalisco, a family house with a long-standing reputation for traditionally made tequila. Generations of craft have shaped a spirit that favors balance and quiet sophistication over showmanship.
Agave & Region
This is a reposado tequila made entirely from blue Weber agave grown in Jalisco, the heartland of tequila in western Mexico. After the cooked agave is fermented and distilled, the spirit is rested in oak, a brief maturation that softens its edges and lends the gentle gold color and rounded character typical of the reposado style.
Tasting Notes
Expect cooked agave at the center, framed by soft notes of vanilla and toasted oak from its time in barrel. There is a whisper of caramel and warm baking spice, with a clean, lingering finish that stays smooth and elegant rather than sharp.
What to Pair It With
The oak-kissed warmth of this reposado is lovely beside our Grappa’s Famous Paella, where saffron and smoke meet its gentle sweetness. It also flatters the char of our Spaniard Octopus and the heat of the Spicy Sausage Rigatoni. Explore more on our dine-in menu.
How It’s Served at Grappa
We pour El Destilador Reposado neat for slow sipping, or shaken into a cocktail, for $10.
