Gran Centenario Plata is a clear, fresh silver tequila from Jalisco, prized for its remarkable smoothness, and it is poured at Grappa in Queen Anne, Seattle. It is a bright, versatile pour that shows the agave in its purest light.
About the Distillery
Gran Centenario is one of Mexico’s most celebrated tequila houses, rooted in the rich distilling tradition of Jalisco. The brand is built on a long heritage of craftsmanship, with a guardianship of tradition that runs through every expression it makes.
Agave & Region
Plata is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco, where the agave is nurtured for years before being harvested at ripeness. As a plata, or silver, it is bottled essentially unaged, with only the briefest rest, preserving the clean, vivid character of the agave itself rather than the influence of wood.
Tasting Notes
Look for crisp, fruit-forward notes of pear, lime and citrus over fresh cooked agave, with a delicate herbal lift and a faint touch of black pepper. The finish is clean, smooth and elegant, true to its reputation for easy drinkability.
What to Pair It With
Its bright citrus snap is a natural beside our Fresh Oysters, echoing a squeeze of lime over the brine. It also lifts our Spaniard Octopus and refreshes the rich Grappa’s Famous Paella. See more on our dine-in menu.
How It’s Served at Grappa
We pour Gran Centenario Plata neat for sipping, or as the bright heart of a cocktail, for $12.
