Casamigos Mezcal
Casamigos Mezcal

Casamigos Mezcal brings a gentle wisp of smoke to the bar at Grappa, our Mediterranean dining room in Queen Anne. Crafted in Oaxaca from espadin agave, it is a mezcal made for unhurried sipping, balanced and approachable rather than fierce.

About the Distillery

Casamigos began as a passion project among friends who wanted a spirit smooth enough to drink on its own. The mezcal expression is produced in Oaxaca, the spiritual heartland of the category, where small-batch tradition guides every step. The agave is roasted in earthen pits, lending the signature gentle smoke, then crushed, fermented, and distilled with care for a clean, polished character.

Agave & Region

This mezcal is made from espadin, the most widely planted agave in Oaxaca and the foundation of so many beloved mezcals. Oaxaca’s high valleys and mineral soils give espadin its sweet, herbaceous backbone, while the traditional pit roasting wraps the agave in soft smoke. The result reflects a region where mezcal is woven into daily life and celebration alike.

Tasting Notes

Expect a welcoming nose of roasted agave and soft campfire smoke, followed by notes of sweet citrus, tropical fruit, and a whisper of pepper. The palate is rounded and mellow, with a clean, lingering finish that never turns harsh. It is a mezcal that invites a second pour.

What to Pair It With

The gentle smoke flatters our Grappa’s Famous Paella, echoing the saffron and seared seafood. It is equally at home beside the Spaniard Octopus, where char meets char, or a plate of Fresh Oysters for a bright, briny contrast. Explore the full dine-in menu for more pairings.

How It’s Served at Grappa

Casamigos Mezcal is poured neat for slow sipping or built into a cocktail by our bartenders, served at $21.
