Haut-Blanville Solal Rosé
Haut-Blanville Solal Rosé

Haut-Blanville Solal Rosé is a crisp, dry rosé poured by the glass at Grappa in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. Made by Château Haut-Blanville in the Pays d’Oc of southern France, it is a certified-organic blend of Grenache Gris and Cinsault. We poured it onto the list because it captures the pale, refreshing, Mediterranean style of rosé that drinks beautifully all evening.

About the Winery

Château Haut-Blanville is a family estate in the Languedoc region of southern France, near Pézenas. The family settled there to craft single-parcel wines with a careful, terroir-minded approach. The estate farms organically, and the Solal Rosé reflects that clean philosophy, made to highlight fresh fruit and bright acidity rather than heavy winemaking.

Region & Grape

This wine is classified IGP Pays d’Oc, from the Languedoc in southern France. It is an EU-certified-organic blend of Grenache Gris and Cinsault, two grapes well suited to the warm Mediterranean climate. The wine is fermented and raised in stainless steel to keep it fresh, crisp, and true to the fruit.

Tasting Notes

Look for a delicate, pale color and a soft nose of white cherry and peach with a hint of melon. The palate is clean and crisp, with gentle red-fruit character and refreshing acidity. It finishes dry and bright, an easy, food-friendly rosé.
