Moletto Grappa di Prosecco
Moletto Grappa di Prosecco

Moletto Grappa di Prosecco is a single-grape grappa we are delighted to pour at Grappa in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. Made by Moletto in the Veneto, it is distilled from the Glera (Prosecco) pomace, giving a light, floral digestif. We list it because its delicate, springlike character is a lovely way to close a candlelit dinner, from our family to your table.

About the Distillery

Moletto is a family estate founded in 1960 by Mario Stival and based in Motta di Livenza, in the province of Treviso in the Veneto. Working its predominantly clay-and-limestone soils, the estate produces a line of single-vineyard “monovitigno” grappas distilled with traditional copper stills, prized for their refined, balanced character.

Style & Production

This monovitigno grappa is made from the Glera grape, the variety behind Prosecco. Grappa is distilled from the skins, seeds and stems left after winemaking; Moletto distills its single-vineyard grappas in traditional copper stills, a method chosen to draw out an elegant, fragrant bouquet and a clear, polished spirit.

Tasting Notes

Expect a light, floral and aromatic profile true to its Glera origins, with fresh orchard and white-flower lift on the nose. The palate is clean and gently warming, finishing soft and harmonious.

What to Pair It With

Its delicate lift loves lighter sweets. Try it with a Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta, a dish of gelato or sorbet, or Mama’s Tiramisu. Browse the full dine-in menu for everything that comes before.
