The Château de Montfaucon Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a bold, juicy southern Rhône red poured at Grappa in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. Made by Château de Montfaucon from old-vine Grenache with a touch of Mourvèdre, it brings the warmth and generosity of one of France’s most famous appellations to our list. We pour it for guests who love rich, sun-soaked reds with depth and finesse.
About the Producer
Château de Montfaucon traces its history to the 11th century, when the castle’s first tower was raised above the Rhône to guard the historic border between the French Kingdom and the Holy Roman Empire. Today the estate, run by Rodolphe de Pins, farms parcels in the southern Rhône including old-vine holdings within Châteauneuf-du-Pape, working with the venerable Grenache vines for which the region is famous.
