Nardini Riserva 3 Year
Nardini Riserva 3 Year

Some bottles carry the weight of history, and Nardini Riserva 3 Year is one of them. Poured by candlelight at our table in Queen Anne, this oak-rested grappa is the kind of digestif that invites you to linger, sip, and let the evening soften. From our family to your table, it is a graceful close to a long Italian dinner.

About the Distillery

The Nardini distillery was founded in 1779 in Bassano del Grappa, in the Veneto, and is widely regarded as Italy’s oldest grappa house. For more than two centuries the Nardini family has distilled along the banks of the Brenta River, and that long, unbroken heritage of craftsmanship is exactly what we love to bring to the table in Seattle.

Style & Production

This is a true grappa, distilled from grape pomace rather than wine, drawn from the pressings of Veneto and Friuli grapes. After distillation the spirit is rested at least three years in Slavonian oak casks. That patient time in wood is what defines a Riserva: the oak rounds the spirit, draws it toward an amber hue, and lends warmth, softness, and an added layer of complexity.

Tasting Notes

Expect a smooth, full-rounded grappa with a fragrant, harmonious nose and a gently warming palate. The years in oak bring soft notes that echo vanilla and dried fruit, with a delicate spice and a long, refined finish. It is intense yet polished, the kind of spirit meant to be savored slowly.

What to Pair It With

An aged grappa is a natural companion to dessert and rich, lingering plates. Try it alongside our Mama’s Tiramisu, our Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta, or a shared Charcuterie Board. It also makes a wonderful digestif after our American Wagyu Steaks. Explore the full dine-in menu to plan the evening around it.

How It’s Served at Grappa

We pour Nardini Riserva 3 Year as a digestif at $14, served neat in a tulip glass so its aromas can open at their own unhurried pace.
