Bright, clean, and effortlessly elegant, Patrón Silver is one of the most recognized blanco tequilas in the world, and it has a welcome place on our agave shelf at Grappa. We pour it for guests who want the unadorned character of the agave itself, a spirit that feels at home both sipped slowly and shaken into something lively.
About the Distillery
Patrón is crafted at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Every step takes place there in small batches. In a distinctive touch, the agave is crushed two ways, with a modern roller mill and a traditional volcanic tahona stone, and each resulting distillate is fermented and distilled separately in small copper pot stills before being blended together. That careful, almost artisanal approach is part of what made Patrón a defining name in super-premium tequila.
Agave & Region
Patrón Silver is made entirely from Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco. The region’s red clay soils and cooler elevation tend to lend agave a softer, more floral and fruit-forward character. As a blanco, this tequila is unaged, so nothing stands between you and the pure expression of the cooked agave.
Tasting Notes
Expect a fresh, inviting nose of agave and citrus, with lime and grapefruit leading and gentle hints of pear and light florals. The palate is sweet and crisp, with notes of melon and a touch of honey, while the finish stays clean with a soft peppery lift. Smooth and approachable, it is a graceful introduction to sipping tequila.
What to Pair It With
The crisp citrus of Patrón Silver is a natural alongside our Fresh Oysters, where the agave’s brightness mirrors the briny chill of the shell. It also sings beside our Spaniard Octopus, the clean agave cutting through the smoke and char. For something bolder, try it with our Grappa’s Famous Paella. See the full dine-in menu for more.
