Plantation 3 Stars White Rum
Plantation 3 Stars White Rum

Plantation 3 Stars is a white rum with unusual pedigree, a thoughtful blend of three island styles assembled by a house far better known for its aged expressions. At Grappa, we love it as a mixing rum with genuine depth, one that brings character to a cocktail rather than simply vanishing into it. It is poured in our Queen Anne dining room in Seattle.

About the Distillery

Plantation is the rum label of Maison Ferrand, a French house renowned for cognac and for its devotion to the art of blending. For its rums, Maison Ferrand sources spirit from across the Caribbean and ages and marries it with a winemaker’s sensibility. The 3 Stars expression distills that philosophy into a single white rum built to be both versatile and expressive.

Style & Production

This is a molasses-based blend drawing on white rums from three islands: Barbados for elegance and balance, Jamaica for its bright pot-still fruit, and Trinidad for clean, smooth structure. Some of the component rums see time in oak before being blended and filtered back to clarity, giving the final spirit more roundness than a typical un-aged white. The result is a layered, characterful white rum that reflects the Maison Ferrand approach to blending.

Tasting Notes

The nose is lively and fresh, with sugarcane, ripe banana, and a hint of tropical fruit from the Jamaican component. The palate is clean and rounded, balancing soft sweetness with a touch of grassy cane and gentle spice. The finish is crisp and bright, with a pleasant lingering fruitiness.

What to Pair It With

Its bright, fruit-forward character is a fine match for Grappa’s Famous Paella and a generous Charcuterie Board. It also complements the cocoa richness of our Flourless Chocolate Cake. See the full dine-in menu for more pairings.
