Hendrick’s Gin
Hendrick’s Gin

Hendrick’s has a way of charming everyone at the table. Cool, floral and unmistakably elegant, it is the gin we reach for when a guest wants something refreshing yet refined. At Grappa, it slips effortlessly into a Mediterranean evening, all garden freshness and gentle perfume.

About the Distillery

Hendrick’s Gin is crafted by William Grant & Sons in Girvan, Scotland. Launched in 1999, it helped spark the modern gin renaissance with its distinctive curved bottle and its unusual, beautifully balanced recipe. The gin is made by blending spirit from two different stills, a method that gives it both backbone and finesse.

Botanicals & Style

What sets Hendrick’s apart is its signature infusion of rose and cucumber, layered over a classic set of botanicals that includes juniper, coriander, citrus peel, chamomile and orris root. The rose lends a soft floral lift while the cucumber brings a cool, clean freshness. The style is delicate and rounded rather than sharply juniper-forward, making it endlessly approachable and a touch romantic.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, expect cool cucumber and a whisper of rose petal over fresh juniper. The palate is smooth and silky, with gentle citrus, soft floral notes and a measured herbal backbone. The finish is clean and calm, refreshing rather than heavy, which is exactly why it works so well before and during a meal.

What to Pair It With

As an aperitif, Hendrick’s loves bright, garden-forward plates. Try it with our Heirloom Tomatoes & Burrata, where the cucumber and rose echo the freshness of the dish, or with Our Hummus for an easy, herbaceous start. It is lovely too alongside the Mediterranean Salad. See the full dine-in menu for more.

How It’s Served at Grappa

At Grappa, Hendrick’s is poured neat, on the rocks, or shaken into a classic cocktail by our bar for $14. With a slice of cucumber, it is one of the most refreshing ways to open an evening in Queen Anne.
