About the Winery
Hedges Family Estate is a family-owned, biodynamic winery on Red Mountain in Washington State. Founders Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges helped establish the modern Washington wine industry and were instrumental in creating the Red Mountain American Viticultural Area. The family farms through biodynamic and organic practices with minimal inputs, and their estate vineyards were certified Biodynamic by Demeter in 2021. The goal is to capture the true character of their hillside terroir.
Region & Grape
This is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain, Washington’s smallest and warmest AVA. The site’s heat, sun, and rocky soils produce Cabernet of concentration and firm structure. Hedges builds depth with a Bordeaux-led approach while keeping Cabernet Sauvignon at the heart of the wine.
