Altesino Grappa di Brunello Riserva
Altesino Grappa di Brunello Riserva

There is a quiet ceremony to the end of a long, lingering dinner, and the Altesino Grappa di Brunello Riserva was made for exactly that moment. From our family to your table, we pour this amber, oak-rested grappa by candlelight as the last graceful note of the evening.

About the Distillery

Altesino is a celebrated estate in Montalcino, in the heart of Tuscany, long regarded as one of the benchmark names of Brunello di Montalcino. Alongside its renowned wines, the estate captures the soul of its Sangiovese vineyards in this refined Riserva grappa, a digestif crafted with the same patience and pride that define the Tuscan hills.

Style & Production

This grappa is distilled from the pomace of Sangiovese grapes grown for Brunello di Montalcino. After distillation, the spirit is rested in small oak barrels, a slow maturation that softens its edges and lends it an intense amber hue. It is, in spirit, a grappa di meditazione, made to be savored slowly rather than rushed.

Tasting Notes

Wood aging gives this Riserva a complex, elegant bouquet, with suggestions of vanilla, warm spice and dried fruit. The palate is warm and enveloping, with a well-defined personality and a long, gently sweet finish that carries the memory of the cask.

What to Pair It With

This grappa is a beautiful companion to dessert. Enjoy it alongside our Mama’s Tiramisu or a slice of Flourless Chocolate Cake, or let it follow one of our American Wagyu Steaks as a digestif. Explore the full dine-in menu to plan the evening.

How It’s Served at Grappa

Poured neat as a digestif at $28, served at room temperature in a tulip glass so its aromatics can unfold.
