Dinner Before Chinese Football at The Crocodile
Planning dinner before Chinese Football at The Crocodile? The Wuhan four-piece play Belltown with Plash on Monday, October 5, doors at 7:00 PM and the show at 8:00 PM. Grappa is 1.7 miles away at 2 Boston Street in Queen Anne, about seven minutes by car, and a table around 6:00 PM leaves room for an unhurried dinner first.
Plan your night around the show
The show is all ages and doors open an hour before the music, at 7:00 PM. The Crocodile is a standing room club rather than a seated theatre, so arriving as the doors open is what gets you close to the stage. Plash open the night.
Before you leave, check the live route from Grappa to The Crocodile. For parking, the box office and every other show on the calendar, see our guide to dinner near The Crocodile.
Getting to The Crocodile
The Crocodile is in Belltown, a straight run south from Queen Anne and about seven minutes without traffic. Street parking in Belltown thins out on a show night, so park once near Grappa and take a rideshare down, or use one of the pay garages a few blocks either side of the club. Our parking and directions page covers the streets around the restaurant.

What to order before the show
A standing room show goes better after a proper meal than after a snack. Order a plate or two to share while the mains come together.

- To share: the char-broiled Spaniard Octopus, Saganaki, or Brussels Bacon and Brie.
- Mains: Squid Ink Pasta and Calamari, Seafood Risotto or Italian Branzino.
- Something lighter: the Autumn Arugula Salad with Rosemary Focaccia.
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes are marked on the dinner menu, and there are wines by the glass and cocktails to start the night.

About the show
Chinese Football formed in Wuhan in 2011 and take their name, and a good deal of their guitar tone, from American Football. The four-piece play what they describe as indie rock, emo and post rock, built on interlocking guitar and bass lines. They toured North America for the first time in 2024 and have kept coming back.
Plash, an indie rock act, open the show.
