Dinner Before Kenny Wayne Shepherd at the Moore Theatre
Planning dinner before Kenny Wayne Shepherd at the Moore Theatre? He brings his band to the Moore on Wednesday, September 16, and the show starts at 7:30 PM. Grappa is 2.3 miles away by car in Queen Anne, close enough for an unhurried Mediterranean dinner first and a short drive or rideshare downtown after. A table around 5:30 PM gives you time to eat, settle the bill and still reach the theatre early.
Plan your night around the show
With a 7:30 PM start, aim to sit down at Grappa around 5:30 PM and leave with a comfortable margin. The Moore asks guests to arrive early and checks bags at the door, and the box office usually opens an hour before the show. Before you set off, check the live route from Grappa to the Moore.

Your evening at a glance
- Around 5:30 PM: sit down at Grappa in Queen Anne and let your server know you have a 7:30 PM show.
- After dinner: drive the 2.3 miles downtown, or take a rideshare to the loading zone outside the Moore’s main doors.
- At the theatre: leave time for the bag search at the door. The box office usually opens about an hour before the show.
- 7:30 PM: Kenny Wayne Shepherd takes the stage.
Plan on dinner before the show rather than after: on Wednesdays Grappa closes at 9:00 PM, before a 7:30 PM show lets out.
What to order before the show

When there is a curtain to catch, order in waves: a few plates to share while you look over the rest of the menu, then mains that arrive together. Let your server know you have a show so the meal can be paced around your evening.
- To share: Our Hummus, house-made red bell pepper hummus with tzatziki; the Creamy Burrata Pesto; or the char-broiled Spaniard Octopus.
- Mains: Pappardelle Bolognese, Roasted Lemon Chicken or the Seafood Risotto.
- For the table: Grappa’s Famous Paella, made for sharing.
- Something sweet: Mama’s Tiramisu, if the clock allows.
The full dinner menu changes with the season, and there are wines by the glass and cocktails to start the night. Choose a table in our candlelit dining room or on our heated four-season patio.
